Over 180 years of records and artifacts document the history of Albion College and the West Michigan Conference of the United Methodist Church. The College Archives and Special Collections, a department of Albion College Library, includes official institutional documents, personal papers of alumni and faculty, audiovisual collections, rare books dating to the 15th century, and historical artifacts dating to 2300 BCE.
We also hold the Archives of the West Michigan Conference of the United Methodist Church, including official documents and minutes, as well as records of closed churches and retired clergy.
No special credentials or permissions are necessary to use our materials, but we do require all researchers to schedule an appointment for their visit. To request an appointment or ask a research question, please contact us. Also, please read our policies prior to visiting the archives.
