Libraries are for Everyone graphic

This is your Library.

Albion College Library seeks to provide equitable and inclusive services, spaces, collections, and resources to better serve the teaching, learning, and research of our wonderfully diverse campus.  We support access to quality information, without question, while protecting your privacy.  We are here to help you with all of your research needs.

Welcome to your Library.

Albion College Library is committed to creating a safe, inclusive environment that is welcoming and respectful to all individuals regardless of ethnicity, race, gender, age, sexual orientation, physical abilities, and religion.  We recognize and celebrate the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our students, faculty, staff, and community members and the contributions they make to Albion College, the community, and beyond.  We strive to provide both physical and digital spaces that allow all of our users to explore and pursue their intellectual interests without limitations or barriers.

Under the guidance of the American Library Association’s Library Bill of Rights and Code of Ethics,  we will continue to cultivate and promote an inclusive collection of resources that spans a wide range of voices, perspectives, interests, and opinions across disciplines.  We will further support our users' intellectual freedom and curiosity by refusing to censor or limit access to resources and materials.

The Library is committed to providing diverse and inclusive programming and outreach opportunities including events, exhibits, and information training sessions that are representative of our community and users.  We work closely with faculty to ensure all students have equal access to information literacy training in the manner that best suits their needs in order to develop their skills as student researchers and lifelong learners.
